WEST VIRGINIA GOLDEN APPLE SALAD


WEST VIRGINIA GOLDEN APPLE SALAD
- Two (2) cups yellow apples, cubed
- Quarter (1/4) cup of lemon juice
- Half (1/2) cup of dates, halved and pitted
- Quarter (1/4) cup of hickory-nut meats
- Half (1/2) cup of heavy cream
- Half (1/2) cup of mayonnaise
- Quarter (1/4) cup of orange marmalade
- One (1) teaspoon of salt

WEST VIRGINIA APPLE SALAD PREPARATION:
In a salad bowl, place the apples and add lemon juice and mix.Then add the dates and hickory nuts.In a separate small bowl, with a portable mixer whip heavy cream.Then add mayonnaise to the cream.Pour over apple mixture.Now add the marmalade and salt to the apple mixture.You want to toss the ingredients a few times.Place in refrigerator and chill until ready to serve.
