MASSACHUSETTS CORN BREAD


MASSACHUSETTS CORN BREAD
- One (1) cup of "Yellow" cornmeal
- One (1) cup of flour
- One (1) tablespoon of sugar
- Half (1/2) tablespoon of salt
- Four (4) tablespoons of baking powder
- One (1) egg
- One (1) cup of milk
- Half (1/2) cup melted shortening

MASSACHUSETTS CORN BREAD PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 425 F.Sift dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add egg, milk, and shortening. Stir until blended, do not over beat.Grease 8-inch square pan or iron skillet. Heat on top of stove and pour in batter.Bake in the oven 20 to 25 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
